Update: Flickr Photo Album– Localization Support (1.1)

A followup to my call for help last month. Combining the work of several volunteer helpers from around the Internet, the Flickr Photo Album plugin for WordPress now includes support for 12 different languages: Danish, German, Indonesia, Italian, Korean, Persian, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Dutch, French, Spanish, and Swedish. You don’t need to do anything extra in order to use one of these translations. If your blog is already setup with one of the supported translations (see here for WordPress documentation), then the plugin will automatically detect that translation and use it. 

A couple languages are not 100% translated yet, so if you would like to help with translating the plugin, either with a new or existing language, or if you see a grammer / typo issue in an existing translation, please see this page for more information on how you can help.

    Joe,
    Ive been using this plugin for a long time now. I really like it. I was just looking at the code today and was wondering how I would go about extending it in a number of areas. It would be great to build in a search results feature ( text instead of just tags ). And also, I’d love to be able to display results from Collections or Archives as well…

    Anyway, how can I get started figuring out how to do this?

    Hi there

    I’m using WP 2.7b3 and everything works fine except translations. All the Flickr-plugin related texts are English even though the rest of the installation is set to German using the WPLANG variable. Any hints?

    in the group photos, the larger photo did not available (This photo is not available.) if they are not my own photo. can we still display the larger size of group photo that not my own photo?
