WordPress 2.5 Compatibility

Just wanted to let you know that the impending WordPress 2.5 release is probably going to break alot of my plugins (again :-/). Please hold off on upgrading your blogs to 2.5 until I can wrap my head around what needs to get updated. Thanks!

Specifically, the WP2.5 release is most definitely going to wreak havok on the admin tabs (screenshot below), since the admin is getting a pretty drastic revamp. I’ll keep you guys posted.

    Yeah, I’m not seeing your tabs in the new “gallery” ajaxy image upload section. Otherwise the plugin seems to work just fine with respect to outputting the imported flickr images inside of the WP theme (I’m using Sandbox 1.5 and the BlackBlueRead skin) on my development server.

    I upgraded without seeing this option. So as soon as you get the flickr photo gallery upgraded, let us know. Thanks. It is a drastic difference, but I like the new admin.

    I have indeed a problem with the Flickr Photo Gallery plugin… Impossible to get the “add pictures” tab in the “write post” screen. The option is even greyed out in the plugin settings page.

    Dear Joe, I’m just a random visitor via Google :) anyway, sorry to hear that Wordpress 2.5 is breaking up a lot of things - out of the 15+ plugins I used, almost half of them didn’t survive the new Wordpress, but well at least they’ve included the automatic upgrade (however, a few failed and I have to install the latest version manually - and sadly there wasn’t any ‘rollback’ and the old versions get deleted as well). I think many tinymce plugins for Wordpress is messed up as well! Geez.

    Anyway all the best in your editing. First time here - I’ll be checking out your plugins when you’re done upgrading them :D thanks a million for sharing.
