Status: Google Analytics for the WordPress Reports Plugin

For those of you that use my WordPress Reports plugin, you may have noticed it stopped working a day or two ago ;) This is because Google Analytics has been recently migrating their reporting interface over to a new style over the past couple weeks, and on July 18 officially cut off access to their old reports… which then broke the plugin, since the plugin pulled data from the old reporting interface.

The good news is that the plugin is compatible with the new style reports, but it will take a little bit of extra work to make it compatible. I was hoping it would take just a simple change to update the plugin, but I guess that’s not quite the case.

Note that if you used the plugin to install the Google Analytics tracking code on your blog, all your stats will still get recorded without interruption. The only thing that is not working are the reporting graphs.

Hang in there, an update is coming soon :)

PS, if you want live on the edge a bit, partial support for the new reports is available in SVN.

Thanks for the update Joe, I figured it had to do with the removal of the old Analytics interface. Glad to know it’s not just me. :)

Thanks for the update. I have been scratching my head wondering what I did wrong these past few days. It’s great to know I didn’t do it :) This plugin is a keeper even though I keep the Google Analytics window open all the time.
