Thanksgiving this Season
15 CommentsThere’s just a little under a month till Thanksgiving here (or it’s already past if you’re a canuck), but already, I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
I’m thankful for my family, and for being able to travel to China with them this thanksgiving. I’m thankful for my job, in particular for the people I work with, and for the great work they do. I’m thankful for my church, and for the fellowship and support they provide. I’m thankful for being able to live in a pretty nice apartment, a roof over my head, and for my roommates. And finally, I’m thankful for all the new friends I’ve met this past year, either through work, church, or elsewhere.
But most of all this year, and really, the reason for this post, is that I’m thankful for her
PS, Hmm… if anyone knows of nice places to take a girl in the WashDC area… please let me know ;p
PPS, Did I mention that I’m also thankful that Google video is now showing NHL games for free? Woot!

I guess the Chazon session was helpful.
Chewy liked Nora’s (www.noras.com) and the Tabard Inn (www.tabardinn.com). Chipotle and Popeye’s always works for me =)
So, I’m not sure why you are holding that bit of news from your work people!
I would recommend the Sculpture Garden on the mall for Ice Skating.
Ohhh, is that your gf?
One of my favorite places is this place called Zorbas in Dupont Circle - but only if you’re a fan of greek food. Yum. Will I get to meet her when I come visit?
uhm, yeah… since a couple days ago ;p
yeah =) and I’d agree with the Ice Skating at the Sculpture Garden. Though it gets crowded so it’s not all that good for newbies
Aw Joe, I’m thankful for my roommates too. Victoria is so cool as well, that’s awesome. I always thought Meridian Hill Park would be fun with it’s awesome fountain, view of the Capitol, funky statues, and sunday afternoon drum circles. Afterward, you could walk down to U street for a little cakelove too. Not that I know what I’m talking about…
(:
Wooooooo HOOOOO!!!!!
=) How exciting to hear!!
Zaytinyas has good food. a little pricey, near Church/Chinatown.

You’ll be in China for thanksgiving? I guess we will miss you when Aaron and I are in town.
a nice place to take the girl in question–a very special girl indeed!–is the library of congress. trust me.
or maybe to a video arcade where they have dance dance revolution.
or anyplace that serves real chinese food. or an indian buffet.
hmm, i don’t know who that michelle girl is, but she’s right on… (: mmm, cakelove and fountains sound good, too.
*poke* *runs away*
ps- but mostly, anywhere you are sounds good (:
ditto what jake said. is there a memo now that life news don’t get announced until a week or two after the fact?
oh yeah, my contribution is the roosevelt memorial.

Again, ditto on Jake’s comment. If you’re so thankful for the people you work with, why not share the news? As Sara Lee would have said, “I’m not feeling the love right now”.
Teaism in Dupont is fun http://www.teaism.com/ for a chill evening.
Annapolis is a nice place for a day trip. Plus, they have great crab!
i think it’s easier for me to share on my blog ;p
so uh, make sure u subscribe i guess.. haha
