When It Rains
1 Comment… it pours. So I’ve been riding my bike to work lately, and that has been sorta working out. Looking at the doppler radar for my ride home after work today, I knew there was a thunderstorm storm coming in, so I made sure to leave work right at 6pm to try and beat it. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work. I got about halfway into my ride home before it started to rain… really really hard. So hard I could barely see where I was going, which is probably a little dangerous. The good thing about all of this was that the rain was actually pretty warm and a bit refreshing. I really wouldn’t of mind riding through it if it weren’t for getting completely drenched, the loud and (a little) scary thunder and lightning, and the whole not being able to see in front of me clearly bit. In hindsight, it probably would’ve been safer if I had waited it out, but the game was on at 8pm, and it didn’t look like it was going to stop raining anytime soon… and I had to get home in time to make dinner and all that :p
But in the end… the good guys eventually lost. Carolina did play a better game tonite, so I guess they deserve to win. Oh well, it really was a great series and congrats to Edmonton for making it so far. They won 15 games in the playoffs, and that is pretty incredible, considering they came into it 8th seeded (aka last place). ‘Til next season…
