Man of Few Words

To the right is a tiny preview of the new web site for my church, designed by some fine peeps I work with. It’s going to use a pretty specialized package of WordPress (the mojo that powers this blog), made specifically for churches and ministries by Silas Partners. Hopefully we’ll be able to release what we’ve done back into the community as open source in the near future. In the meantime, this standalone Flickr Photo Album plugin for WordPress is a direct result of this effort.
I dont think I’ve linked to it yet, but if you can read or understand Cantonese, check out a mini site I helped work on for my grandpa. He’s a retired pastor and the site features a bunch of his writings and some sermon MP3s.
And if you’ve somehow landed on this little blog of mine because of a plugin I wrote, make sure you subscribe to the TanTanToolkit web feed to recieve notifications of when updates are made. And I really promise more updates are coming soon, which should address bugs and requests people have. I’ve been either too busy or just too lazy
Finally, sometimes I feel like I’m like Calvin, as best described in these three panes:

edit: Should clarify, the new web site for my church is not actually live yet, but will be soon.

I’m sure what Silas Partners is doing is probably more low level tweaking of wordpress than just a theme.
This is a church specific theme over at Living Open Source that it seems a few churches have adopted.
