Every now and then, someone comes up with a brilliant (and most likely goofy) idea that just kind of takes the Internet by storm. If you were online in any way shape or form in the past 5 - 10 years, you’ll probably remember hearing about at least one of these fads: Hampsterdance, Star Wars Kid, Hot or Not, All Your Base, or maybe Bonsai Kittens. Now you can add another one hit wonder to the list, the Million Dollar Homepage. Like most other Internet fads which are stupid, goofy, and fun for maybe about 10 minutes, the Million Dollar Homepage is pretty much just that. Except for the fact that it has actually made a million dollars in a little over 4 months. No joke, that’s $1,000,000 US dollars in 4 months.

PS: Just installed WordPress 2.0, no problems so far. New admin area is kinda nice, and the integrated caching in the backend will be very handy for large sites. Not hitting the database on every page load with random SQL queries is a very good thing.
