So, hows the weather?
No CommentsAmazingly, the weather hasn’t been too hot these past few days, which has made bike ride to/from work quite nice. People are such creatures of habit, because riding to work, I always see the same people (going the other way) on the bike trail almost every day. There’s the slightly overweight guy in a bright yellow jacket riding with about what must be 20 pounds of gear strapped onto his bike. He also has a tiny mirror attatched to the side of his helmet. Then there’s another lady runner that has what I can only describe as a mullet (seriously). I’ve seen this lady running at the exact same spot on the trail twice now, weird. Then of course there are all those road bikers that are decked out in full racing gear, travelling at about 80 miles per hour, weaving between the pedestrians. When it’s nice out (like today), there’s actually quite a lot of people that use the trail (lots of bottlenecks) so weaving can be quite tricky, but thankfully I havn’t seen (or been in) any accidents yet.
In anycase, there is a really nice kabob place on my way home, which makes my ride home worth while. They make a really good lamb kabob for about $8 (take out) and that includes the bread, rice, and an extra side (spinach or chick peas). The portions are pretty big, you get good sized chunks of meat, and it’s generally large enough to make two meals (dinner / lunch), if I’m not very hungry.
Time to go pick up some kabobs ![]()
