So I watched Star Wars Episode III over the weekend. I don’t really consider myself a huge Star Wars fan, but I do have to say that this latest episode in the Star Wars saga actually doesn’t suck, and is quite well done. It’s got spectacular visuals, good plot, and awesome light saber duels. The movie also leads quite nicely into the original trilogy, and actually makes you understand how and why Anikin turns to the Dark Side. The only weak points I found in the movie was with some of the acting. George Lucas certainly knows how to create worlds that are visually stunning and the special effects he used for this movie are awesome, but some of the spoken dialog was just so cheesy. Overall, I wouldn’t really consider this movie to be on the same level as something like Lord of the Rings, but it is definitely one of the better action adventure movies out there this summer.
