Trailer’s out for Serenity on Apple’s QuickTime Movie Trailers page. The movie’s based on Firefly, which is one of the better sci-fi tv show’s I’ve seen… which unfortuently was cancelled only after 13 short episodes. However, you can get all the episodes on DVD from Amazon.com (or if you know me personally, I can lend it to you). One of the cool things about the Firefly TV show was that it had a unique very non-startrek view of the future, I would almost call it a space-western type of show. People still used old fashion guns and not fancy laser guns, cuz well… bullets work. Another neat tidbit about the show was that scenes with spaceships in space don’t actually make any sounds (think about that), which also apparently had a nice side effect of saving them a bit of money in the post production process, since they didn’t have to create fancy explosion and wooshing sounds to go along with their CGI scenes in space.

Also, on a totally unrelated note: Halo 2 maps are available! Since yesterday! Check the Bungie.net website for more info, or download them from XBOX Live. Woot!
